Drop in for informal, hands on advice every Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 with our resident expert Hugh who understands good ways to use social media.
FREE for representatives of non-profit organisations, charities, community groups, or individuals who need a bit of help (for example if you are unemployed, living with a disability, etc).
Social Media Surgeries
Netsquared Cambridge’s free social media surgeries may be just what you are looking for. These are informal gatherings hosted by Cambridge Online at which volunteer “surgeons” with expertise in social media offer advice to representatives of non-profit organisations, charities, community groups, activists, or individuals who need a bit of a hand to get their life back on track (for example, if you are unemployed, disabled, etc). Format: Hands on! For approximately 30 minutes, you will sit with to someone who understands good ways to use the internet. Someone who will listen to what you do, and then show you free, useful tools which can help you to learn more about how to use the web to communicate your message, to run a campaign or to collaborate with other individuals and organisations. If you like what you see they can also help you set up your blog, Facebook page or Twitter account. It may be that this is not for you but if you know or work with someone you think would benefit then please do pass the information over to them.
Social Media Training and Advice
If the free sessions do not suit you, or if you do not meet the non-profit criteria, or if you need more help – we are pleased to offer one to one training at our main learning centre.
