Last winter South Cambridgeshire District Council awarded Cambridge Online a £5,000 grant to help digitally excluded children to get online. That grant is all spent, but we are pleased to say SCDC has awarded Cambridge Online a further £15,000 in August 2021 so we can help more people.
Full details of the Press Release announcing the original grant can be seen here.
The aim of the new scheme is to provide computer devices and internet connections to help families and households gain online access for education, to access services or for social interaction. Applicants need to be digitally excluded people living in South Cambridgeshire. The scheme is funded through the Government’s Local Support Grant to provide essential services.
