Job Description:
Operations Leader – Cambridge Online
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee all outreach sessions for the charity – including calendar management for the team, resource allocation across the various sessions, event marketing, appropriate data recording, securing the venues, and any related health and safety.
- Directly deliver sessions within the agreed plans as and when this is required to support the team.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, management, and allocation of volunteers for the outreach activity programme.
- Be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of outreach activities by the team using the agreed process and defined metrics.
- Identify venues that are underperforming and formulate plans to meet the desired minimum performance levels, and / or identify new venues that could be substituted or added to the schedule.
- Propose a monthly outreach plan to the management team that makes the optimal use of our resources whilst also meeting or exceeding the requirements and conditions of the relevant grants.
- Agree and share the outreach plan in a timely fashion with the team and confirm their individual roles and responsibilities.
- Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the charity.
Key Deliverables
- Deliver the agreed outreach programme to the agreed plan.
- Ensure that there are sufficient resources in play to deliver the plan (venues, team members, volunteers).
- Take responsibility for the accurate, legal, and timely recording of all related data.
- Work with the senior management team on identifying and developing new opportunities to extend the charity’s reach and impact.
Necessary Skills
- GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C or above)
- Has a good grasp of basic office skills, using a computer, saving files, printing, emailing – Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams is a plus.
- Willingness to network and utilise social media to augment their role.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys personal responsibility, problem solving, and delivering change.
- Cares about digital exclusion and the social issues that it causes
- Has a current full driving licence and access to a vehicle during normal working hours.
Hours of Employment
- 20 hours per week plus extra hours as and when agreed with the CEO
Note: Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4pm
Pay
- £16 per hour plus statutory pension
- Equates to £29,952 pro-rata (actual expected £16,640 based on minimum hours)
- Expenses reimbursed as per the policy
